For the past 20 years, the Lord has given us outstanding pastoral leadership in the person of Barton Elliott Harris, who grew up, was baptized, licensed, ordained, and married here at the Westwood Church. He is married to Carolyn Harris. Under his leadership, we have made tremendous strides spiritually, numerically, and financially, since returning to us after serving a congregation in Boston, MA. His emphasis on ministry has birthed ministries that serve children, adults, married couples, and seniors. A strong believer in prayer, on most days you can find him at the altar during our 6:15 a.m. and 7:15 a.m. prayer gatherings. Pastor Harris is a well-respected pastor across the country and is the spiritual father of many pastors and preachers who serve throughout the nation.

Marvin Neal Assistant Pastor
Pastor Harris, sensing a need once again, welcomed home our Assistant Pastor, Minister Marvin Neal. Minister Neal, who previously pastored the St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church of Nashville, was a vital part of Westwood prior to that assignment. An educator and former college and professional athlete, Minister Neal brings to the staff of Westwood a vast experience of Youth and College Ministry. He gives leadership to the Christian Education ministry and along with his wife, Sherri, gives direction to the Vacation Bible School and he has the responsibility of training Sunday School staff. An excellent preacher, he preaches across the nation.
